College can be a time of growth, but it can also bring pressure, uncertainty, and moments where you may question your direction. My goal in therapy is to help you pause, reflect, and reconnect with the strengths you already have while building practical tools to move forward.

Through Amira the Healing Space, I provide counseling services to SUNY Oneonta students who are navigating academic stress, personal challenges, and important life decisions. I work with young adults who may feel overwhelmed, unsure of themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

Students often seek support with:

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Academic stress and burnout
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Relationship challenges
• Identity development
• Life transitions and decision-making
• Feeling unseen, unheard, or underestimated

Clients often describe me as direct, empowering, and solution-oriented. I believe in helping you recognize your strengths—even when you may not see them yourself. My role is to support you in building clarity, confidence, and practical strategies that help you move forward.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who feel overlooked or underestimated. Every person deserves therapy that honors their lived experience and helps them build a life rooted in self-respect and purpose.

My clinical approach is strength-based and solution-focused. Together, we will identify what is already working, clarify what needs to change, and develop realistic strategies that support progress. I believe therapy should be both affirming and activating. We will explore patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and build tools that support real-world change.

I provide therapy in English, Yoruba, and French, and welcome students who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in any of these languages.

In our first session, we will focus on understanding what brought you to therapy and what outcomes you hope to achieve. I will ask questions about your experiences, current challenges, and strengths so we can begin identifying clear and actionable goals.

You can expect a direct yet compassionate conversation. I create a structured environment where you feel heard and supported while also beginning to outline steps toward meaningful change.

By the end of our first session, you should feel clearer about your direction and confident that you have a partner in your growth.
